Rajiv’s background in financial services led to his desire to participate in the provision of affordable financing and democratisation of financial literacy for African businesses.
After a career in Strategy Consulting at Accenture and Corporate Finance at Goldman Sachs, Rajiv joined the World Bank in Kenya, where he worked with the public and private financial sector to create access to affordable financial services — especially for SMEs. Through this, Rajiv realised that his passion is to deploy his technical skills to help founders articulate their business ideas and quantify potential impact.
Rajiv has contributed to economic reports by Goldman Sachs and the World Bank, and has spoken on access to finance in Africa at the annual Africa Finance and Investment Forum — alongside speakers such as Ban Ki-Moon.
With a Bachelors of Business Science degree from the University of Cape Town, Rajiv also earned a Masters of Business Administration from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. During his MBA, he chaired Oxford’s Business Forum for Africa and served as a Director for the MBA Impact Investing Network and Training.
